Yeh =D

That's what we're doing in the Midlands.
I've made a flyer but i'm gonna try and print them out on photo paper, so it looks professional lol.

Yeh, Photo Paper is expensive and I don't really have any money at the minute.

But when I get money i'll do it.

I'm sure SM will live without shiny flyers for awhile. lol

yeh money is a bit of a problem... Neutral
but as half of the people who receive a flyer won't even care to look at it before throwing it away i think usual paper will have to do for now.

Yeh, if i'm going to my local shopping area i'll use normal paper. But when I go to gigs to hand out flyers, it's best to make more of an effort.

If I get given a flyer, i'm more likely to check out the band if the flyer is good quality.

Original post is in the Midlands ST topic -

Cheri wrote:
We have now printed off more flyers under the name of Straight Lines (our first mission they were still SaidMike) and we have done CD's to give out. Perfect Mistakes and Antics are on the CD's, because they're the ones we got free from when they gave them out.

Dane's approved it and stuff so it's all good.
If anyone else wants to do that with their street teams, go ahead cause we're allowed Smile x

So I was thinking...

Do you think it would be possible for us to upload those two songs somewhere and just put a download link on the flyers we hand out?
Would be easier, cheaper and more efficient than bringing billions of CDs to gigs. I think more people would rather be willing to get a free download then to drag a CD along with them

See I did think of that, but I couldn't think of anywhere we could put it up.
Unless we mail SL and ask them if they could put the songs on their myspace player and click the 'make available for download' link.

Though I do think more people will listen to a CD if it's given to them, cause people are lazy ass buggers and can't be bothered to type in a link and click download and add it to their Itunes.

So I dunno really :S

hum... i think i could find somewhere to upload them.

on the other hand, i think it really depends. some people might prefer downloads, others cds...

need to think about that now lol

If you're good at talking a lot then you might be able to convince people to download it.

lol you wouldn't say that if you knew me Wink

the thing i'm worried about is that they might not let me into the venue with too much cds in my bag.
but i could make flyers with a dl link and then take like 20 cds or something out and just tell people they can also download the songs.

in germany that varies a lot depending on venue, band and all that... and i don't want freakish fangirls to be the only ones checking sl out.
they already have us, they don't need more crazy girls Wink
